At the heart of the reprographics department is our Prinect operating system. The Heidelberg system links pre-press and press seamlessly. For Pinstripe to satisfy both quality requirements and commercial concerns equally, it was important to standardise the printing process.
Prinect links the pressroom to pre-press operations, thereby providing direct access to ink presetting data from the prepress stage at the press itself, where it can be used to automatically adjust ink zones. There is no faster way to ink up – even the first pull brings you close to the OK sheet.
This ensures that the desired quality can be achieved at all times. That is why Prinect includes calibration, profiling and quality control tools that make sure your proof and your print result match, that the press inks up fast, and that the press delivers consistent production quality.
Customers artwork is thoroughly checked using the preflight to identify errors before they can affect the quality of your print result. artwork is checked and any errors detected are logged and – as far as possible – corrected straight away. Once optimised, artwork can be archived automatically and is thus available for subsequent reuse.
To enable us to assess the quality of our proofs precisely, based on the ISO standard, all our proofs include a media wedge. This ensures reliable measurement and documentation of results.
